What key characteristics set us apart?

Under the Authority of the Local Church

Our NPC operates under the authority of, and in partnership with, local hub-churches. Local church authority is expressed through five core commitments—shepherding, supervision, servicing, support, and sending to the campus. Held accountable under their care, we equip and export the next generation of Kingdom leaders to a lifetime of service in the Body of Christ.

Relational Evangelism

We are committed to sharing the gospel relationally with students on the UJ, UP, and Wits campuses. We believe all students need to hear the gospel of Jesus Christ, and that hearts open most readily where there is relational trust - an approach we see both commanded and modelled by Jesus throughout Scripture.

Conviction for Multiplication

The Great Commission in Matthew 28:18–20 calls us to “go and make disciples of all nations.” Paul instructs Timothy in 2 Timothy 2:2, saying, “and what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also.” From these passages, we draw our core conviction for spiritual multiplication—making disciples who will, in turn, make more disciples. We believe that through this biblical model, the world can be reached for Christ!

Rooted in God’s Word

The Bible is our foundation, our authority, and the truth that shapes our mission, vision, and ministry culture. All our evangelism and discipleship is rooted in God’s Word, as it is our utmost desire that students learn to engage Scripture confidently and treasure it deeply for a lifetime.

Life-on-Life Discipleship

We believe that some of the best spiritual training takes place within informal, relational contexts. We are committed to intentionally opening our Bibles and our very lives to students, reflecting our deep commitment to the authority of God’s Word and to living authentically through life-on-life discipleship.
